This workshop will provide an overview of epigenetic mechanisms and will highlight their importance in a wide range of biological processes, from cancer to the social organization of ant colonies.

In this Genomics for Teachers session, educators learn about key principles and mechanisms of epigenetics, the relationship between epigenetics and genomics, tools and techniques that are used to study epigenetics, and the use of ants as an emerging model to study epigenetics in behavior and aging.
